Sophie had bites of malt-o-meal cereal and ate raisins for breakfast. For lunch she ate ground beef, whole wheat elbow noodles, mixed fruit, and two servings of applesauce. About 10:00 Sophie asked, "What are we having for snack?" (A frequently asked question!!) My standard answer; "Food." Sophie's standard response; "What kind of food?" Ha! Reid said, "Elbow noodles and flute." (Translation: fruit.) :)
Reid brought a lot of his Star Wars toys he got for Christmas so I let him and Sophie take them to the Living Room in front of the puzzle rack. They had lots of fun out there and Sophie stayed until Baby Nora arrived and Sophie raced to the gate to see her. It was nice to have all the kids back today!!
Sophie was reading this book to Hudson a minute or two earlier so I asked them to "stage" this picture! Pretty good, huh!?! :) Then Sophie said to me, "I tell you something in your ear." Ok. (That never works real well because my hearing aids squeal! Hahaha!!) She said, "Can I hide from my Mom!?!" Then to Bubba she said, "Ok, Bubba let's hide together!!" It's 9:45 in the morning and I'm thinking, boy I hope the parents come early today or this may not end well!! :)
In the last picture Sophie is hiding under the blanket! There is really nothing more entertaining than a game of Toddler Hide-n-Seek! Sophie yells out instructions and Bubba and Avi just wander off to play elsewhere! Ha! Sophie yells "GO HIDE" to Hudson (repeatedly) and then shows him where to hide and instructs him not to move!! Then she pretends to "find" him at least a half-dozen times. (Making him stay in the same hiding spot makes the game much more efficient!) Sophie is counting, "1 2 3 4, here me come!!" Reid has been observing it all and at this point he says, "You gotta count to 99, not 3!!" Ha! Sophie kept peeking around the corner at Hudson saying, "Found ya!" (That is from a book about Hide-n-Seek that we read this morning!)
