Sophie - 11/4/2015

Sophie ate whole wheat toast and two servings of mixed berries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate everything as well.  Ham, crackers, bean & bacon soup, and strawberries.  This next story is not about Sophie, but something that happened this morning and I thought you all might like it.  At breakfast I dropped a bowl of mixed berries on the floor and of course the bowl broke and I had a mess to clean up!  This provided Cooper (and Sophie) with immense entertainment and 100 different questions to ask!  Ha!!  Cooper's first question; "What's that made out of?"  Glass!  "You should have made it out of bricks!!"  Ok, thanks Cooper.  I'll keep that in mind the next time I'm constructing dinnerware!!  Then all the "why" and "how" questions.  So I asked him, "Have you ever dropped anything?"  "No."  "Well now I see why you have all these questions!  Someday when you do drop something you'll understand."  Cooper's response (which you already know), "Someday I won't drop something!"  LOL  Good luck.

We were singing songs and I was using the bumble bee puppet and singing "Hickity Pickity."  Sophie never stopped grinning and she'd laugh when I'd "buzz" her with the puppet.  The next song was about apples falling on the ground and we'd vigorously pat the ground.  Next song - "Head, shoulders, knees, and toes...."  In the middle of that song Sophie started patting the ground.  (Actions from the last song.)  It was soooo cute.

Here's a picture of Sophie pestering Cooper and she totally knew it was bugging him.  He was sitting in front of the couch reading books and first she was trying to get his books.  So I pointed out different books to her.  Then she was bringing more books over and he'd pitch them off to the side; "I don't want that one."  Well that was just another new game to play.  Give Cooper a book and he pitches it to the side.  Then she decided to push against him like you see in the picture and ended up sitting on him.  :)

Sophie was sitting in front of the animal suits and made it VERY clear she wanted me to help her put on the frog suit.  She left it on for at least 5 - 10 minutes and then wanted it off, but was ready for a different suit.  I took this picture of her in the frog suit.  "Hmmm....Maybe Cooper won't recognize me in a frog suit and I can get one of his toys now!!"  :)
