Kindermusik Thursday - Sophie arrived for lunch and ate most of baked chicken, no bun, ate two servings of hash browns, and ate her canned cherries. She was dipping her chicken in her cherry juice. :)
Here's Sophie and Avilene having a special moment! Sophie has been VERY helpful this week while my hearing aids are in the repair shop. :) Avi's crib is in the living room and as soon as Sophie hears any sound from there I'm instantly alerted! Thanks for your help Sophie!!

Sophie - 4/27/2016
Sophie ate bites of blueberry bagel and three servings of pears for breakfast. For lunch she ate ham, big serving of whole wheat elbow noodles, large serving of corn, and a couple bites of apple pieces.
Lauralea was thrilled to see her Sophie today! :) She fixed Sophie's hair, sang to her, and gave her lots of love. So cute. Lauralea asked Sophie what color of ponytail holder she wanted and Sophie said, "back, back" while pointing to the black. The she gave Sophie the choice of two songs they sing; "You wanna do Boston or Walk Walk?" Sophie said, "Boston." Ha! Lauralea said, "I missed you!" And Reid said, "Did you miss me for one whole day!?!" (He was gone on Monday.) He said, "I had a Star Wars day!" (Hanging out with Dad.)
Cooper is having a Grandma Day so it is just Sophie and Reid today along with the two little ones. Reid is amazingly sweet and gentle with Sophie! I'm very impressed! Actually, all three of the Templeton Boys are wonderful with kids younger than they are. In the first picture they were building something and Reid said, "I'm building it for Hofie!!" Ha! (It took Sophie a while to realize he just wanted blue and green on the tower on the right side of picture - his two favorite colors!) Just now as I'm doing this Blog, Bubba just barreled through the tower and collapsed it! LOL! It didn't even faze him! He just looked around to see what the heck happened! Ha! At least Reid and Sophie are sleeping so they didn't witness the destruction!!
Sophie and Reid were having fun on the mattress and he was bonking her gently with the yellow pillow. You can see the end result of that in the first picture! So cute. Then Sophie went and got a book and asked him to read it to her. We read books at Story Time and did some stickers at Art.

Sophie - 4/26/2016
Sophie had bites of waffle and ate three servings of peaches for breakfast. For lunch she ate tuna & crackers, large serving of sweet potatoes, and three servings of mandarin oranges. It was so nice to see Sophie!! She spent the first 20 minutes primarily saying two words: "Bubba and Avi!" "Bubba...Avi...Bubba...Avi.." I think she missed her babies!! She was also singing, "Night night Bubba" when I was putting him down for his morning nap.
Sophie put on the Wolf mask and the boys started running wildly (which is why Cooper is not in the first two pictures - he was kind of a blur!) and yelling like they were scared! They were having lots of fun with that game and basically all Sophie did was just stand there. The boys took care of the details which only consisted of Run & Yell!!
The boys played several games with Sophie and in the picture below they were camping in the igloo. They had pillows in there and Sophie kept fetching them food and drinks! We also did dot painting at Art Time, read lots of books that Sophie was bringing to me, and she played with the dress-up boots and vests. Cooper asked Reid, "Did you miss Sophie?" That was pretty cute. (I didn't hear Reid's reply - hearing aids at the repair shop!!) Ha!

Sophie - 4/19/2016
Sophie ate blueberry bagel and three servings of apricots for breakfast. For lunch she ate everything as well: chicken, whole wheat elbow noodles, peas, and two servings of applesauce.
Cooper brought his Big Blanket today and laid it out on the floor (After Hudson had went to bed! Ha!) and left it there all morning and let Sophie play on it. Thank you Cooper; that was very sweet. When I took this picture Sophie was singing, "Night night Momma, Night night Momma." Notice that Sophie has her socks off. Cooper and Reid always take their socks off, toss them on the changing table, and she did the same.
We read lots of books and Story Time has become one of her favorite activities. We also sang songs and she practiced colors and color signs. The boys love helping her and it's a fun game for them. I think it's hilarious because Reid is always giving me color tests! (Good luck with that Reid! No one else has been successful!) Ha! He held up three different colored shapes and asked, "Which one is red?" The first thing he did when he walked in the door this morning; pointed at his shorts and asked, "Are these light or dark!?" Hahaha! They'll frequently tell Sophie when she's at the color poster; "Point at my favorite color."
Here's a picture of Sophie doing another of her favorite activities at Little Treasures!! Anything with the Little Ones! Like I've mentioned several times Sophie ALWAYS alerts me when she thinks the babies need something and she's frequently right. It's actually quite helpful! Now I just have to train her how to take care of their needs! :)
Reminder: Sophie will be needing diapers when you get back from California. (I have some extra diapers as well so it's not a big concern.) Hope you all have a wonderful time and we'll see you when you get back!!

Sophie - 4/18/2016
Sophie ate raisin bran cereal and dried cranberries for breakfast. For lunch she ate a couple bites of cheese pizza, ate most of corn, and three servings of tropical fruit.
I have a note from last Friday that has nothing to do with Sophie, but I think you all may enjoy it anyhow!! Our neighbor across the street (Big Willy who loves the kids and they all love him) hired someone to cut down his tree in his front yard. So the kids were enthralled with watching the worker in a bucket on the end of a boom cut down the tree. Reid was watching when he said, "If Big Willy come out here he not gonna be happy!!" Hahahaa!!
We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and the kids were very busy. Sophie was "feeding" her baby. At first she stuck the "mustard" container up to the back of the baby's head and I started laughing. So she continued to be silly and was putting it on top of the baby's head when I took this picture.
It's not unusual for little ones to get their fingers "stuck" in a book or something and think they are really stuck. Sophie was playing with this old flip phone and closed her finger in it and said, "stuck!!" About 30 minutes prior to this Hudson had closed his hand in the barbecue and he too was "stuck!"
Cooper was hiding his drills "so Sophie can't get them." Which led to her "chasing" him around and around the chair. It was hard to tell who was chasing who! Especially when he was passing her about every other lap! :)

Sophie - 4/14/2016
Sophie ate bites of raisin english muffin and three servings of blueberries for breakfast. Then she asked for more blueberries in such a cute way! "I wan mo blueberries." Nice sentence!! For lunch she ate chicken, most of crackers, ate sweet potatoes, and two servings of cherries.
Here's a picture I took of Sophie yesterday afternoon messing around with some of the dress-up clothes. She put this over her head and walked around the Daycare Room and then crawled under the blue balance beam. She was giggling to herself and I was laughing of course. Tight places or things over her head doesn't bother her in the least! As a matter of fact she kind of likes it!! :)
Cooper was building with the legos and Sophie joined in. She has been building with legos a lot lately and really enjoys it. You can see Cooper in the background continuing to work. He said he was making a "nut hut for nuts and it's a hut for squirrels and there are lots of nuts in there!" :)
Cooper asked for the Big Bears again and he was fixing up a place for him and Sophie to sleep. He said to her, "Look! I made you a bed! What do you think!? Isn't it nice!?" :) Then later they started bouncing on the bears and they were having fun and laughing. After we read lots of books at Story Time he said, "Hey! Let's bounce again Sophie!" She said, "Ok." :)

Sophie - 4/13/2016
Sophie ate biscuit and two servings of peaches for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of baked beans, most of dinner roll, half of peas, and ate a large serving of pineapple.
I took these first two pictures yesterday afternoon after Kenzie had built "a little rocket ship." Sophie had so much fun playing inside of it by herself for at least 30 minutes!! She was peeking out and when I looked at this picture - I'm thinking those are Nora's eyes!! :) The second picture gives you a better idea what the rocket ship looked like!!
Yesterday she was using the yellow cylinder for a stool - today it's a hat! (Lauralea is helping hold the bucket there after Sophie was asking for help.)
Reid is not here today, but Cooper and Sophie played together very nicely this morning. They were using the yellow benches and the legos drawer for their "boats." Then they were bouncing on the edge of the mattress over and over. Cooper kept saying, "Lets do that again, let's do that again!" I took this next picture when they were using the Big Bears to build another hiding spot.
We also did Art and then later Sophie was identifying colors at the color poster. This week the first color she points to every time is brown. (And she also does the sign for it.) She was pointing at green and saying, "Doop, Doop, Doop" Oh, is that Coop's favorite color? She was thrilled I knew what she was trying to tell me. "Ya!" she said.

Sophie - 4/12/2016
Sophie ate waffle and three servings of hash browns for breakfast. For lunch she ate chicken & cheese quesadilla, one or two bites of carrots, and two servings of mandarin oranges. Hudson was in his highchair at breakfast and after feeding and putting him down for a nap Sophie asked me, "Bubba night night?" Great question Sophie!
Lauralea had fun fixing Sophie's hair, singing to her, generally showering her with lots of love, and then big hugs goodbye. Those two have a mutual adoration thing going on! It's fun watching two of my favorite girls interact with each other!! :) Shortly after Lauralea left Sophie worked and worked at sitting on the yellow shape sorter bucket. She succeeded and I took this picture!
You can't really see it in the picture below, but all three of them are playing with Star War characters and cars. Shortly before I took this picture Cooper was sitting on the couch taking off his socks. He then handed them to Sophie and said, "Can you put them on the changing table?" Sophie, always so willing to help, eagerly said, "Yes!" and took them right to the changing table. You are too sweet Soph!! (Don't worry Momma Molly! You have lots of time to teach her how to respond appropriately in that situation!!) :)
Reid was covering Sophie with his special blanket or "Blue Guy" as he calls it! You must be pretty special Sophie to get covered with "Blue Guy!" Sophie didn't want to quit this game and kept saying, "sleep, sleep, sleep." :)

Sophie - 4/11/2016
Sophie ate cheerios and banana for breakfast. For lunch she ate cheese sandwich, drank at least half of her tomato soup, and had a good taste of pickled beets.
She got so excited for Story Time - I was thinking it was almost close to Meal Time excitement!! :) Nope, not quite! At Lunch Time she started doing a little jig! Ha! Super cute. Later, I started singing our song which spells everyone's name and she was pointing to herself. As soon as I started singing her name, she started to dance. (Maybe it's in the genes!) :)
Reid and Cooper were setting up some alone space away from the little ones. So after Hudson went to bed I told Sophie that her and I could build something with the legos. As you can see in the first picture the boys couldn't stay away! They had to come and join us and Cooper was busy adding a "gun" to the structure. He said, "I got a gun on your house so it even looks better!" Ha! Nothing makes a house look better than adding some weapons to it!
Cooper was "hiding" out with Sophie behind the barbecue. I asked them who or what they were hiding from and Cooper said, "Hudson!" Well, it's working! He doesn't have a clue where you are at! Of course, he's sleeping, but that's not relevant!! :) Speaking of Bubba, Sophie got so excited when he awoke from his morning nap. She was chanting back-n-forth between "Bubba" and "Bubby!"
I like this last picture because it is a good representation of "When the cat's away, the mice will play!" As soon as the big boys were both on their nap mats she grabbed Reid's special Star Wars book and got up in the chair. (It's quite the Star Wars Encyclopedia!)

Sophie - 4/7/2016
Sophie ate bites of raisin english muffin and two servings of blueberries for breakfast. For lunch she ate turkey slice, most of sandwich bun, ate two servings of green beans, and two servings of strawberries.
I was in the middle of feeding Baby Avi while Sophie was laying on the floor and Hudson was messing with Sophie's hair barrette. So I just watched to see how she'd react and she basically never flinched! She lay there while he tugged and pulled on it, got it out, played with it, and gave her hair a couple of pulls (not hard) as well. Amazing how she'll tolerate that from him!!
Here's Sophie in one of her favorite spots! She has the yellow bench pulled up tight to the bookrack and she was enjoying some books. Shortly after this we were reading books and she was following along in the color book I was reading and doing all the color signs with me. Then we were reading the "Fifteen Animals" book again. (I mentioned it in the Blog two or three days ago.) If you're not familiar with that book we'll have to read it for you. So stinking cute!
Another picture of one of Sophie's favorite activities at Little Treasures. She was calling one of her babies, "Avi, Avi, Avi." I like how she had all four of her babies laying on the balance beam. I think she has her own Daycare Program! :)

Sophie - 4/6/2016
Sophie had a couple bites of jelly toast and two servings of mangoes for breakfast. She ate a great lunch today - much more than yesterday. She ate all but a couple bites of her beef & bean burrito serving, ate her sweet potatoes, and two servings of tropical fruit. At the breakfast table I was pretending to take a sip of her cup, so she just turned it around and pointed the sippy stem in my direction. No problem, here have a drink! :) Then she was chanting, "Laur-lee, Laur-lee, Laur-lee..."
Speaking of chanting, Sophie was chanting "Bubba, Avi, Bubba, Avi..." Then later she was switching it up and saying, "Bubba, Bubby....Bubba, Bubby!" And of course if she hears a peep out of them when they are sleeping she immediately alerts me!! Which is frequently quite helpful!! I was singing, "There was a Mommy had a boy and Bubba was his name, B U B B A, B U B B A....." She was saying the next person's name for me to sing about. "Avi, Nora, Me (pointing at herself)"
Here's a picture of Sophie doing some painting at Art Time. She did really well and was having fun with the process! And of course that's what it's all about at this age - the process! Then we did some stickers too and she always likes to do stickers.
I frequently lay Baby Avi under the railing next to the mirror so she can watch herself in the mirror. Then I'll put a couple of animals on the railing for her to look up at. Sophie likes to stuff the railing full of all the animals she can find. Then she was pointing at the zebra poster and saying, "Zeba, zeba." Although in the picture below I think she may be looking above the zebra poster.

Sophie - 4/5/2016
Sophie ate bites of chex cereal and ate mixed fruit for breakfast. For lunch she had bites of ham sandwich, bites of peas, and ate two servings of mandarin oranges. As most of you know Cooper and Reid are gone this week because of Spring Break so it's just Sophie, Hudson, and Avi here.
We had a couple of visitors this morning (A Little Treasures graduate - Stella - who's now 10 years old! And her Mommy.) Sophie warmed up very fast to them. Stella was reading books to Sophie and it was so cute. I loved how Sophie was just studying Stella! Stella also fixed (well, kind of) a ponytail for Sophie. :)
I was reading books to Sophie and she was actively participating in a book titled, "Fifteen Animals" by Sandra Boynton. Every animal is this book is named "Bob" except for the last one - a turtle named "Simon James Alexander Ragsdale the Third." I would hesitate at every animal ("And a dog named.....") and Sophie would say, "Bob." So cute. And when I read the name of the turtle Sophie pointed at it and said, "Bob!" :)
This picture was taken last week, but I hadn't posted it so here is Sophie giving her baby loves and kisses. She played with the dolls and blankets this morning as well.
Then she was talking on the phone - "Hi Momma, Bye Momma, Hi Momma, Bye Momma."
Sophie was playing with the dress-up clothes and I liked how she had the shoes on the wrong feet. She wanted me to help her get the shirt on and she just patted my knee; never said anything, just patted my knee and pointed at dress-up clothes rack. No reason to talk! :)
