Sophie ate malt-o-meal cereal and raisins for breakfast. For lunch she ate several bites of ground beef, ate a large serving of whole wheat elbow noodles, a couple bites of apple pieces, and ate a large serving of mixed fruit.
This first picture is from yesterday afternoon after her nap. Sophie's hair was kind of sticky from meal time and I sprayed it with water and made a nice spike - primarily for Kenzie's entertainment!! At least Kenzie and I thought it was nice!! She said, "Leave it! Leave it!"
Lauralea was using the little puppy finger puppet and singing, "Where oh where did my little dog go..?" and Sophie was laughing! It was so cute and we were all laughing hard! Then Lauralea sang, "How much is that doggie in the window..?" Sophie was trying to laugh hard again and it was kind of a fake laugh! And that was even funnier!! Soph was still sitting on the couch when Lauralea was leaving and she said, "Bye" and started waving bye before Lauralea even looked at her!! :)
Reid had "Sophie's Daycare Blanket" and was covering Hudson and Sophie. Sophie was giggling and basically rolled up in the blanket - see picture below. Look ate Hudson in both pictures - even though he was covered with the blanket for several seconds he didn't even move. :)
You can still see Reid in this picture too. He's laying back against the couch with his feet propped up on the mirror railing.

Sophie - 10/29/2015
It was so nice to see our Sophie Girl this morning!! For breakfast she ate bites of whole wheat english muffin and ate two servings of blueberries. She ate all of her Lunch; Chicken, crackers, sweet potatoes, and cherries. I'd given her binky to her after Lunch (for nap time) and when I went out to the Daycare room she'd found Hudson's binky and swapped them. I didn't realize it until I spotted her binky on the floor. Silly girl! (I sanitized it before returning it to it's rightful owner later.)
Cooper leaned forward and kissed my head and then he said, "I kissed your head!" Sophie leaned forward and kissed my shoulder. It was too stinking cute!! Heart melt!
Lauralea put a pony in Sophie's hair and then was letting her play with Kenzie's Bird. You push a button and it sings songs. Soph would push the button, the bird would sing, and she'd giggle. She is so cute. Lauralea and I were talking about how expressive her face can be. Especially when she's frowning about something. Ha!
She wanted these dark swim goggles on and she left them on for the longest time. Some kids this age will leave them on, but most want them off immediately!!
Still wearing the goggles!
Cooper always brings a special blanket (or 2 or 3 or....) and Reid has his "Blue Blanket." Except lately Reid has changed it's name to "Blue Guy." Ha! And Sophie will frequently "steal" the blankets and watch for reactions. I got a very soft Mickey blanket out for her and she was sure loving on it! (We have lots of blankets!)

Sophie - 10/26/2015
Sophie ate most of her cheerios and ate banana for breakfast. For lunch she ate cheese sandwich, drank tomato soup (with straw), and ate most of lettuce salad.
I had lots of fun with Sophie this morning - playing "Chase" around the igloo and chair. She loves that game and is the one who initiates it! She also gave me loves several times - she'd come by where I was sitting or standing and lay her head on my leg. So sweet.
Reid was peeking in the igloo at Sophie and making her laugh. He was also sitting on the top of the igloo and thumping on it.
Sophie put this dress-up shirt on by herself. It's kind of stretchy and she can pull it right over her head. She wore it several different times last week as well. She's pushing a button on this toy that makes an animal sound. She'd push it then look up at me to see if I was impressed. :)
Did you notice Sophie on the couch with Cousin Hudson?! :) She put this shirt over her head and was walking around that way. (As a safety concern I looked through it too to make sure she could see at least a little bit!!) She was right up on Hudson and had her face in his face!

Sophie - 10/23/2015
Sophie had two servings of breakfast: oatmeal and dried cranberries. She ate about half of her lunch; ground beef, elbow noodles, peas, and applesauce. (I'd mixed it all together and fed her.) At lunch Cooper yelled, "Sophie messing around!" Ha! That's one of several things they do everyday that amuses me; squeal on each other. And it frequently happens when they are engaging in essentially the same activity!!
I went to the Court House this morning (vehicle title) and Missy took this picture while I was gone. The minute I walked into the room Cooper squealed on Missy; "Missy had your camera Gary!!" Ha! (Sophie gave me the sweetest loves when I got back.) Lauralea said that when Missy asked, "Where's the camera?" Sophie was making sounds and pointing. She knows exactly where I keep it and she knows what it's called because I use it everyday.
Sophie worked really hard to get into Lauralea's shoes. And of course she was getting a little assistance from Lauralea.
She wanted to get up and walk and she was taking huge steps! Silly Sophie.
Watch out Sophie! That Cooper is trying to plant a kiss on you!! We built this little house with the blocks and the kids all squeezed in. Cooper said, "This is very cozy." Ha ha!

Sophie - 10/22/2015
Sophie was at Kinder-Music most of the morning, but not much of a Blog today. She ate all of her lunch: turkey slices, sandwich thin, large serving of green beans, and a large serving of strawberries. I said, "Keep your food on your plate" and she picked up the piece of turkey and put it back on her plate. :) Sharp little girl!!
Hudson has his hand over his mouth; he can't hardly believe she'd say that!!! :) Actually all of his fingers are in his mouth!

Sophie - 10/21/2015
Sophie ate most of her jelly (strawberry) toast and ate mangoes for breakfast. She ate all of her lunch: bean & cheese burrito, sweet potatoes, and tropical fruit. (She ate more than the two big boys.)
Sophie went through a time-period here when she was experiencing a bit of stranger anxiety. She seems to be completely over that stage. Reid's Dad was the one she cried about the most. The last week or two she has been so sweet and flirty with him and he is totally loving it. As soon as he went out the door this morning she started waving bye. (Little stinker!)
Lauralea was assembling a vacuum this morning (for ASUM) and of course you have to play in the box after it's empty. I'd cut windows in the sides of the box and Sophie is peeking in at Cooper in the picture below. Here's a side note about the vacuum assembly - this isn't about Sophie, but I thought you'd like it anyhow. Lauralea couldn't find where to hang this one attachment and Cooper was holding up the paper saying, "Look at 'structions." (instructions) Ha! Before that he'd said, "Gary will do it." (Lauralea said, "No he won't. Ha ha ha!)
I put this hat (from the dress-up clothes) on Sophie this morning and I was wondering what she'd do. She did just what I thought she might do - took off strutting her stuff! It was so blasted cute!! And of course she loved it that she was being watched!!
The more I laughed the sillier she got with the hat; and she left it on for several minutes. She was tugging on it and pulling it down, but she wasn't trying to get it off, just experimenting with it. :) It was so funny and like I said - I was laughing and she was performing!!

Sophie - 10/20/2015
Sophie ate half of her cinnamon roll and two servings of canned prunes for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of scrambled eggs, hash brown, sausage, and cheese combo; she ate waffle and melon mix.
I feel like Sophie has gotten more cautious the last two or three months. (And that is usually a good thing. ) However, it doesn't "always" happen and this morning I told her, " Hey Soph! Standing up and being goofy on the swivel/rocker is probably not safe! Have you noticed that it's moving?" :)
There were LOTS of birds at the bird feeder today. We stayed back away from the window so we didn't scare them and I held Sophie up so she could watch too. There were between 30 - 40 on the ground.
Cooper was playing very sweet with Sophie this morning and sharing "ice cream" with her. It was cute and she was mimicking everything he was doing! She saw the toy he had and she got another one just like it. He said, "I love you Gary." She immediately laid her head in my lap and started saying, "Ahhh ahhh, hi hi hi." (heart melt) Then I said "give me 5 Cooper." She reached out her hand for a turn too. I took this picture shortly after Hudson woke up from his morning nap.
I caught a picture of Sophie "depositing" something in one of her favorite spots. (She'd been playing with a little puppy finger puppet.) If I can't find a sock that she's missing this is where I always look first and it's usually there. She's on her tiptoes and can just barely reach it. :) Earlier she'd taken off one of her shoes and then the sock. I put the shoe on the top of the igloo and Cooper asked me what it was doing up there. I told him Sophie jumped so hard she jumped right out of her shoe. (The kids frequently jump off the igloo.) He looked at it for a moment and said, "That's weird." :)

Sophie - 10/19/2015
Sophie ate kix cereal and two servings of mixed fruit for breakfast. For lunch she ate ham sandwich, half of peas, and ate mandarin oranges. I'd cut her sandwich into cubes and she picked all the ham off the bread first and ate it - then she ate the bread. :)
We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and the kids were having fun looking and playing with all the different toys. The boys were busy playing with ice cream cones and Reid said they were hiding them from "Hophie." Which was a bit ironic because at the same time he was chanting, "Ice cream for everyone, ice cream for everyone!" Hmmmm.
As you can see by the picture she also liked the swim goggles! She left them on for a minute and then pulled them down around her neck. She took them off and pretty soon she put them back on and wore them around her neck. (You can see them in the 1st picture below.)
I had Hudson propped up on the couch and Sophie wanted to get up there with him. She was talking to him and saying, "Hi hi hi hi" over and over. He's totally focused on her. Earlier, Sophie was playing with the phones saying, "Hi hi hi" Then she'd look at me and grin and do it again; "Hi hi hi." Sophie was also playing with the dinosaur toys and pushing the buttons that make "dinosaur" sounds; whatever that sounds like?! She'd push the button, look at me and grin, push the button.... Yup, you're pretty funny Sophie! And way too cute!! :)
Hudson got tired of the couch so I put him on the floor and he was way more accessible then! She totally loves the baby!

Sophie - 10/15/2015
For lunch Sophie ate most of chicken, most of sandwich bun, ate hash browns, and ate cherries. Sophie arrived at Daycare after 11:00 (from Kinder-Music) so the Blog will be short. However, the Cline girls are here today so I snapped a few pictures!!
This was minutes after Sophie arrived and they were all on the floor crawling really fast! It was so cute because the older girls were right with her.
Hey Mommy and Daddy!! Look what I can do!! Silly Sophie. I pitted some fresh cherries and then froze them this summer. Sophie stuck one on her finger which made Kenzie and Riley roar with laughter and approval. I like the little smug look. :)
Some more attention from the older girls. :)
Sophie went over and sat at the table at Lunch Time (this is what she frequently does) and both girls wanted to help with her bib. They also thought it was a good idea for Sophie to just sit and eat at the table. Uhhh, not yet. She still uses her highchair. :) Look how Sophie is holding her head down for them to tighten her bib.

Sophie - 10/14/2014
Sophie ate whole wheat bagel and three servings of peaches for breakfast. For lunch she ate bites of ham, a large serving of mac-n-cheese, ate corn, and bites of apple.
Sophie started waving bye to Lauralea and then I told Lauralea that Cooper was blowing her kisses. Sophie heard that and immediately put her hand to her mouth to blow kisses too. It was sooo cute. Then it took Lauralea a long time to leave - she kept saying "bye Sophie" so she could watch Soph blow kisses. Ha!
Sophie watched Cooper take his socks off and she immediately started tugging and pulling her's off! (Except he put his back on!) She managed to get both socks off, stood up and walked to the changing table and was trying to reach up to dispose of her socks there! :)
Two or three times this morning Sophie sat on the floor and started looking at books. I love it when they do this!! This picture totally illustrates one of the benefits of reading to young children. :) She's learning that books are awesome!
Sophie played beside Hudson for several minutes. Look where his left foot is resting - on Sophie's left arm. She has some bowls in her right hand and she wasn't too thrilled that he was impeding her play here! Ha!
When Baby Hudson went to sleep Cooper, Sophie, and I went to the mailbox across the street. (With Sophie in the stroller.) We played outside and Sophie crawled up in the stroller and Cooper was pushing her up and down the sidewalk. :)

Sophie - 10/13/2015
Sophie ate waffle and two servings of pears for breakfast. For lunch she ate tuna and crackers, sweet potatoes, and two large servings of mandarin oranges.
Yesterday afternoon she managed to get her socks off (AGAIN) and then she was reaching up trying to put them on the changing table!! (I always ask the kids to put their socks up there if they take them off.) Kenzie knows that and she said, "I think she watched the big kids do that!" Yup, I think so too Kenzie and that's how she learns - by watching - sometimes good things and sometimes ..... other things! :) She was trying hard to get her socks off today too, but with no success!
Mommy Molly had a nice ponytail in Sophie's hair this morning, but Sophie still wanted Lauralea to fix her hair. It was so cute. It's so amazing how they love those routines! So we got the comb and went through the routine - and Lauralea was pretending to fix her hair - and Sophie was satisfied.
She did tons of walking this morning just like you were talking about yesterday Molly. She was even packing a doll in one hand and a blanket in the other hand. That's the first time I've seen her carry anything while walking! That's always a good sign they're getting more comfortable! She was having a hard time standing back up after falling and still hanging on to her stuff and it was making her angry. But she managed just fine.
Here's a couple of pictures from this morning - first one - talking on the phone!! And talking plenty loud I might add! :)
Cooper had worked on this legos project for a long time and shortly after I took this picture he said, "I'm finished!" He wanted me to put it up on a shelf "so Sophie can't get it!" Hee hee!

Sophie - 10/12/2015
Sophie ate chex cereal and two servings of mixed fruit for breakfast. For lunch she ate beef sandwich, drank tomato soup (with a straw), and ate tropical fruit.
This first picture is from Friday afternoon, but I thought her pony was so cute. We always call that a "whale spout!"
Lauralea did Sophie's pony this morning and gave her a finger puppet to hold during the process. It's a little puppy and Lauralea was singing "How much is that Doggie in the window?"
It was pretty quiet around here this morning! Reid is staying home with Daddy today and Baby Hudson is flying back from Denver with Mommy. So it's just Cooper and Sophie until Kenzie gets here after school. We did some stickers in the Daycare room so Sophie could watch and it was fine for several minutes, but she soon was grabbing the paper and stickers so we moved out to the Lunch room. Sophie was frequently getting one of Cooper's blankets this morning (he brought two) and she would grab it and see if he was watching. He'd stashed both blankets on the top part of the back of the couch. The yellow bench was in front of the couch and she managed to get up there and grab one. Oh man, she was so proud of herself and looked back at Cooper with a huge grin!

Sophie - 10/9/2015
Sophie ate oatmeal and two servings of canned prunes for breakfast. For lunch she ate several bites of hash brown casserole, a couple bites of biscuit, and ate mandarin oranges.
This morning before Lauralea left she commented that "Sophie doesn't make her "screeching" (I think that's the phrase she used) sound nearly as much any more. Cooper was pestering her and right on cue she started screeching! Ha ha! "Oh, is that the sound you're referring to!?" She really doesn't do it nearly as much as she once did and will usually stop when I ask her to! Especially after I have Cooper quit bugging her!! (This time he was putting his feet on her.)
I noticed Sophie was pulling and stretching her socks off while Cooper and Reid were doing Art. Later, I asked her, "What'd you do with your socks?" She immediately went right around the corner to where they were lying on the floor. Thank you Sophie!
I was prompting her to say words this morning and she totally made the "G" sound for Gary! Ha! That's the first time I've heard her do it! After many many tries!! Hee hee! Thank you Sophie! I feel much better!!
One of the first games Reid and Cooper played this morning was Super Heroes - again. The place for a Super Hero is under the legos table and they said that was their "hide out." I love how Sophie is checking out the special "hiding" spot!
Sophie really does practice lots of walking here even though the posted pictures do not usually involve just walking! So, with that in mind, here's a picture of her walking! She was headed for the steps we built with the building blocks.

Sophie - 10/8/2015
This is a short post on Sophie's Blog as she arrived about 11:00 this morning from Kinder-Music. She ate all of her lunch: turkey, whole wheat bun, green beans, and mangoes. However, I did have enough time to put a pony in her hair and take a picture of her playing in the block house we built.
Ha! Always enough time for a picture!!

Sophie - 10/7/2015
Sophie ate two servings of breakfast: Whole wheat toast and mixed berries. She was a total messy disaster after those berries. The girl loves her berries!! :) For lunch she ate most of ham, most of crackers, ate bean & bacon soup, and ate a large serving of strawberries. I'd been feeding her the bean & bacon soup, but I'd moved away to help someone else. She had her hand in the beans and was looking at me to see if it was acceptable. Very cute.
Sophie saw Cooper blowing kisses to Daddy at the window and she started doing it while she was sitting on Lauralea's lap on the couch. Then she and Cooper were on the yellow bench when Lauralea was leaving and she started doing it again. (After intently watching how Cooper was blowing kisses.) So cute.
This is a familiar picture, right? Hey, the boys were busy playing with frogs, dinosaurs, and building blocks and it was a perfect time to grab Cooper's blanket. She'd laid her head on this pillow and of course it was adorable. So I talked her into a reenactment so I could take this picture!! Thanks for cooperating Sophie!! I love how much she understands language!
We'd built this house with the blocks and when I turned around she was sitting on Reid's lap. He really likes his Sophie and she obviously likes him too!! Or as he calls her - "Hophie!" (Those "S" sounds are difficult to say!!) During Story Time Reid pointed at a picture of a baby in the book and said, "That look like Hophie!!" :)

Sophie - 10/6/2015
Sophie ate whole wheat bagel and two servings of apricots for breakfast. She also ate most of her lunch; Chicken, whole wheat elbow noodles, peas, and applesauce. I mixed it all together and fed her.
Hudson was taking a nap when Sophie came and I had the monitor on so I could listen for him. When Sophie first heard him starting to fuss she immediately put her index finger up to her mouth for the "Shhhh" sign! It was so stinking cute! (Her finger actually kind of ends up beside her nose.)
She parked herself in front of the book rack and proceeded to look at some books. She hasn't been interested in sitting for Story Time lately, but she likes to look at books on her schedule and in her way! Sounds familiar, right!?
Here's a picture of Sophie doing one of her many antics!! It's so fun how they like to experiment with all the different maneuvers as their bodies develop. She's been practicing walking of course and is always looking back with a big grin on her face to see if I'm watching! Yup, you're doing great Sophie!!
Missy made it back from her Texas road trip and actually spent a few minutes hanging out with the Daycare kids this morning. That is NOT a regular occurrence!! Sophie was comfortable with her and handed Missy every dinosaur in this play set - about 25 of them - one at a time! She also played with the toys that have animal sounds and was laughing after every animal sound she pushed.

Sophie - 10/5/2015
Sophie ate bran cereal and dried cranberries for breakfast. For lunch she ate cheese pizza, corn, and tropical fruit. Hudson was sleeping when Sophie came and when he awoke from his nap she kept saying, 'Hi hi hi hi hi.." :)
We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and Sophie was pretty impressed with the smorgasbord of reptiles and dinosaurs Cooper had laid out on the yellow bench. He was trying to show her how he hooks the dinosaurs together to make a "train of dinosaurs." The mouths are open so he sticks a tail in each mouth and hooks them all together that way.
After leaving the yellow bench with the dinosaurs she went right to the dolls and blankets. I think that is so cute. Well, honestly, I think just about everything she does is cute!! Ha! She was looking up at me like "Oh Good! I found the dolls!!" She laid out all four of the dolls and then reached for the blankets!
For several months now Sophie has crawled under the balance beam to get to the mattress. It's like one of her favorite spots in the room and she always accesses it in the same way. It's so interesting how the kids find something they like to do, or a certain way to do something, and they'll do it over and over! Human Behavior has always fascinated me! :)

Sophie - 10/2/2015
Sophie ate malt-o-meal cereal and two servings of raisins for breakfast. For lunch she ate bites of ground beef, ate whole wheat elbow noodles, half of apple pieces, and ate mixed fruit.
I have a calendar with animal pictures hanging in the Daycare room and in October's picture are penguins. Sophie was looking at it this morning and then pointing to them. I said "those are penguins." Several times later in the morning I would ask, "Where are the penguins?" She'd immediately stop and look up at that calendar. :)
I'd left my stool by the couch and of course Sophie took advantage of it! I turned around and she was up on the couch doing some of her antics! So I had to get a picture! She is such a fun-loving little sweetie. Lauralea was enjoying bouncing Sophie on her knee this morning too. She was doing a "walk walk walk....trot trot trot....gallop gallop gallop!" game and Sophie was chuckling and grinning the entire time..
In the picture below you can see Reid and the top of Cooper's head in the background playing on the mattress. I liked how Sophie was taking advantage of the opportunity to play with Cooper's blanket. And believe me, she knows who this blanket belongs too!

This picture is from yesterday afternoon and Kenzie was playing with Sophie putting these bandanas over her head and this is one of Sophie's favorite games! Kenzie has been doing very well with the little ones in the afternoon and knows Sophie likes her space and doesn't want to be mauled! I've told her, "Save the mauling for Cooper - he likes it!!"

Sophie - 10/1/2015
Sophie was at Kinder-music this morning so her Blog will be short. For lunch she ate everything; chicken, crackers, sweet potatoes, and cherries. These are some fresh cherries I'd pitted and then froze. I was curious if the kids would notice the difference from the canned cherries I usually serve. Cooper ate about half of his before he said, "There are some bad cherries." Ha ha ha! Reid was in agreement and they started talking about whose cherries were "more bad!!" (Except Reid ended up eating all of his "bad" cherries!)
This is a picture from yesterday afternoon when the kids were playing in their "hideout" under the blanket I threw over the geo-climber. Sophie observed for quite awhile, but then joined the others and crawled into it. That is Elliott in the foreground and Kenzie in the background. (Sophie's face is partially blocked by the blanket and the cross piece of the geo-climber.)
I'm always curious about what the children play with first when they arrive. Sophie went to the other side of the room this morning, looked at the boys for a second, and then headed right for the dolls. Being a little Mommy!! :) A very cute Little Mommy!!
